On Saturday, July 27, 2019 St. Paul's said good-bye to our Priest in Charge -

Reverend William T. Hobbs.

Rev. Hobbs has retired after 34 years serving in the priesthood, the last 12 of those spent at St. Paul's in Gardner and at our sister church, St. John's in Athol.  We all were saddened to see him go, but a time of transition has come upon us.

What about Saturday 5 o'clock service?  Unfortunately, for the time being, Saturday services are on hiatus until further notice

St. Paul's Episcopal Church

Beginning Sunday, September 1, the Reverend Eliot Moss will be celebrating every Sunday for the following three to four months as we continue our journey toward finding a priest to serve permanently at each parish.  Rev. Moss is currently a full time professor at UMass Amherst and has agreed to join us for several months.

Starting on Sunday, August 4, 2019, serving at both  St. Paul's and St. John's (our sister church in Athol),  will be a Supply priest, the Reverend Nancy Strong.  She will be officiating at Sunday services for both parishes.  Rev. Strong is recently retired from full-time work in the Diocese of Western Mass and will be traveling from Manchester, NH to join us.  She is a powerful and thought provoking speaker and priest.  The Rev. Strong will be with us for the month of August, 2019.

On Sunday, August 18th the Reverend Canon Richard Simpson will be serving.  Canon Simpson has been with us before and he is part of the Bishop's staff.  He is our primary contact and facilitator as we move through the process of calling a new priest to our parish.
